THE PLACE : ALMA
Thanks to a Mauritian company supporting the project, Stand Up was able to set up in a new location in the heart of the island, on the lands of Alma.
Two buildings were restored and inaugurated on May 30, 2024, after eight months of work. The youth house is a former health dispensary that had fallen into complete ruin.
The Chapel of Saint Joan of Arc in Alma is located at the heart of the site. Mass is celebrated there on Saturday afternoons. It is a place of worship for the Quartier Militaire parish, whose pastor is Father Bosco, a priest of the Paris Foreign Missions (MEP).

Stand Up is a lay-led project that was favorably received by Cardinal Maurice Piat and later by his successor, Bishop Mickael Durhône .
Father Laurent Rivet, head of vocations ministry, supports the project.
Stand Up serves the human and spiritual growth of young people and provides support for existing youth groups in the diocese on a spiritual and formation level.
