A year for God

in Mauritius

Dear young person,

Stand Up offers you a unique time in your life to step aside on a colorful island, to set out in search of who you are, discover your uniqueness, develop your talents and share them, witness your faith, and find your place in the world.

Coming to Stand Up means choosing to live an exceptional human and spiritual adventure that will impact your life and that of other young people and families—perhaps for generations. One simple Yes can lead to thousands of other Yeses.

Coming to Stand Up means embarking on an exploration of life’s greatest treasure, the gold of faith in Christ who has changed billions of lives.

This faith will make you exhale the fragrance of a pure heart; this faith that illuminates and brings you clarity, confidence, joy, and boldness.

This purity of heart to love truly and to lead you to the goal of your life: the encounter with God, LOVE, the Father’s house.

Coming to Stand Up is giving yourself a time of wonder, unfolding your baptismal life, preparing yourself for the future by strengthening your inner being.

A time to receive yourself, reveal your talents, give yourself, shine.

A time to love, learn, grow, surpass yourself, discover, meet, build, commit, sow, and reap.

A time to become a man or woman who STANDS STRONG, ready to engage with the world and transform it with your uniqueness.

The Stand Up program is rooted in five main pillars:

prayer, formation, fraternal life, service, and mission.

LA PRIERE

A year to root your FAITH and friendship with Christ.

At Stand Up, you take the time to listen to God,

to know Him better and love Him more

through a daily prayer life,

by reading the Word of God, silence, praise, Mass, and the Rosary.

You will discover God’s plans for happiness for your life and your place in the world.

FRATERNITY

A time to experience the joy of living together

At Stand Up, we learn to live “as brothers”

through a simple, joyful, humble, and chaste community life.

We strive to build a true spirit of family and unity through

sharing, forgiveness, and charity, while caring for relationships and our environment.

At Stand Up, you contemplate the truth, receive it, put it into practice, and share it with others.

SERVICE AND MISSIONS

A missionary year to witness God’s Love and pass on the flame of faith

By being close to the poorest

To be a sower of hope and faith

To be a sower of hope and faith

To support, energize, collaborate, and build bridges with existing realities (scouting, high schools, parishes, communities...)

To join them in their realities (sports, music, art...)

By innovating with young people

A missionary year to witness

God’s Love and pass on the flame of faith

At Stand Up, mission is an overflow of love from what you have received

in prayer, experienced in fraternal life, and understood through formation.

Mission will allow you to give your whole self and share with young people your greatest treasure:

faith in Christ!

The mission times aim to be close to young people,

to meet them in their realities, their thirsts and questions,

to respond to their needs, and to bring them an abundance of life,

hope, and light through faith in Christ.
